Art, Art and more Art.....



My Art, it makes me happy. I have been a self-proclaimed artist since my first painting went up in my kindergarten room.  I do all my art with passion and joy in my heart. I like color, color ,color . I'm am a self tough artist who gets so immersed in my work that it becomes a form of meditation. I have expanded my media to include, metal art, ceramic, wood, glass, acrylics, and love hate relationship watercolor. My hope is that when you take my work home with you, it will continue to inspire and delight you, by filling your home with the love and the light in which it was created. I was born in Kern County in 1961 began selling my work at age 17. I'm a descendant of Rafael de Bettencourt "Artists in California" Rafael was born in San Rafael on September 24,1889 Rafael died September 14,1969 I was 8 years old. Edan Milton Hughes wrote in the artists in California 1786 - 1940 Third Edition Volume 1 A-K Crocker Art Museum 216 O Street Sacramento, Ca 95814: DeBettencourt, Rafael (1819-1969) Painter, architect. Born in California on Sept. 24, 1889. DeBettencourt studied at the San Francisco Institute of Art in 1907-08. He worked as an architect throughout his adult life while painting in his leisure. A lifelong resident of San Francisco, he died in Redwood City on Aug. 14, 1969. His work includes figure studies and representational landscapes of San Francisco Bay area.
